Appalachia Shoe Box Mission

The St. Genevieve's council of Catholic Women are once again participating in the "Papal Footprints" program.  This Christmas Shoe Box Mission is geared to be a one-on-one gift to the youth living in the Kentucky areas of Beattyville ad Pikeville.

This is a super fun outreach program.  Your hearts will be filled with joy and love as you "Share the Joy of Christmas" with some of our poorest and youngest brothers and sisters in need. 

There are 4 easy steps:

1. Decide to give a shoe box to either a Boy or Girl and decide what age group (2-4, 5-9 or 10-14)

2.  Wrap the box without sealing the lid

3.  Fill the shoe box with gift items from the suggested brochure

4.  Securely attach a label with gender and age group clearly marked

Don't seal the lid.  Bring shoe box to the Parish Community Center, St. John's Site or Faith Formation class by Sunday, October 13.
