From Father Greg

Dear Friends,
We are preparing for Christmas and on this weekend, we lit the second candle of Advent: the candle of Peace. We read from the Bible a gospel that prepares us for the coming of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 3:1-12). John the Baptist warns Christians of all ages to repent, reform and change.
On this Second Sunday of Advent, let’s look at what needs to be changed within us to be prepared spiritually for the reign of God. What do I need to repent of so I can live in harmony with other people? What’s it going to take in this troubled world for me to be a person that not just wants peace in our world, but for me to be a peacemaker?
Peace,
Fr. Greg

Helpful Resources
As parishioners of St. Genevieve, we commit ourselves to refresh our participation of Liturgy through attentive listening to God's Word, in raising our voices in prayer and song, and in reverent reception of the Body and Blood of Christ. We pledge to work for justice for those inside and outside of our boundaries and to be instruments of healing in our families and in our community.
