WELCOME!
If you have been waiting for that perfect time to invite your friend, neighbor, brother, niece or spouse to St. Gen's, why not now? Invite them to 8:30 Mass and the pancake breakfast this Sunday. Invite them to the Family Faith Event next Wednesday, May 6. Invite them to the 10:30 Mass and pancakes on May 17. If you don't invite them, who will?
PANCAKE BREAKFAST
The Men's Club is hosting a pancake breakfast after the 8:30 Mass this Sunday, May 3. Bring your gently used books! Redeemed Books & Media will be collecting them to sell at area events as a fundraiser for the Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf. If you can't make it this weekend, pancakes will be flipped again after the 10:30 Mass on May 17.
NEW MEMBER WELCOME
Members of the Pastoral Council will be at the Welcome Table at the pancake breakfast this weekend to answer questions about the parish.
ARE YOU BEING CALLED?
Advise the pastor in pastoral and temporal tasks of the parish as a member of the pastoral or finance council. Talk to a current member or visit the website for more information. Pastoral Council: David Breen, Justin Crowley, Ivan Droessler, Judy Flett, Brent Skalicky, and Sharon Tomlin. Finance Council: Pam Braunig, Jerry Grundtner, Matt Jones, Lee Rodel, Mary Ruprecht, Andy Saffert, and Mike Spangenberg. Applications are due May 29.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Registration is open for Rainforest Falls, where children from 3 years to 5th grade will explore what it means to be rooted in relationship with God, a safe place in life's storms. Middle and high school students and adults are needed as volunteers.
Vacation Bible School is June 15 - 19 from 9am to noon. Register here
FAMILY FAITH EVENT
-open to all families-
Join other parish families on Wednesday, May 6 from 6-7:30pm for an evening of pizza, prayer and play. It will be a great opportunity to make connections with other families raising their children in faith. Please rsvp by May 5.
ANNUAL PARISH FESTIVAL
Be a part of the planning team! The first meeting will be Tuesday, May 19 at 6:30pm at the Parish Community Center. The festival is always the 3rd Sunday in August - that's August 16 this year.
RECLAIM SUNDAYS
This week, walk around your neighborhood together, praying for those in each house you pass. See more suggestions to reclaim your Sundays.
MAINTENANCE POSITION OPEN
The part-time maintenance position remains open. Up to 15 flexible hours per week. Duties include regular inspection of grounds and general repairs as well as room set up for events. Contact the parish office for details.
MAINTENANCE HELP
If you would like to volunteer your time for small maintenance projects at the parish, please contact the parish office. Examples: replacing a lock, getting out the hoses, installing a smoke alarm....

CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD (CLOW)
Children's aged 3 years through first grade are invited to attend Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) this Sunday at the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses. Children will participate in activities which will encourage a stronger relationship with Jesus.
