Happy Birthday, Catholics!

This weekend is Pentecost Sunday. The Spirit came down upon the disciples and our church was born. We will be singing a long-time favorite, "They'll Know We Are Christians." Let's celebrate our birthday by singing loudly and proudly and by wearing RED to Mass.

MEMORIAL DAY

On Memorial Day, we remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. The Hugo Legion Post 620 will visit our cemeteries on Monday, May 25. They will be at St. Genevieve Cemetery at 11:25am and St. John the Baptist Cemetery at 11:55am.

SERVING AT MASS

If you would like to serve at Mass as an usher, Eucharistic Minister, lector, sacristan, video desk operator or altar server, please fill out the signup form by June 3. New volunteers are welcome and will be trained. You have the option when you sign up to list weekends you are unavailable.

CONGRATULATIONS

We welcome Archer as the newest member of our Catholic community this weekend. May God bless him and his parents, Luke and Annie.

PARISH COUNCILS

Please submit your reflection to the Parish Office by Friday, May 29 if you are interested in serving as a council member. Pastoral Council. Finance Council

FUNERAL MINISTRY APPRECIATION

We have a wonderful group of people who help with funeral Masses and luncheons. Please RSVP by June 1 if you are part of this group and plan to attend the appreciation pizza party on June 9.

SUMMER FOOD DRIVE

The Council of Catholic Women (CCW) invites you to bring grab and go food for area food shelves to help stock their shelves for the summer months when kids are home from school.

BASKETS, BASKETS, BASKETS

The Silent Auction team is already hard at work solicitating donations from area businesses. They are now looking for empty mid-to-large-size baskets, interesting boxes, metal tubs or wooden containers. Bring them to the worship sites or to the Parish Office.

FESTIVAL PLANNING MEETINGS

Tuesdays, June 23 and July 21. 6:30pm PCC All are welcome to attend.

GRAPHIC REDESIGN

Did God give you a gift of graphic design? Can you help update the Parish Festival signs? Contact the Parish Office.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Registration is still open for Rainforest Falls, where children from 3 years to 5th grade will sing, pray, do crafts, and play while learning what it means to be rooted in relationship with God. Middle and high school students can participate as leaders!

Vacation Bible School is June 15 - 19 from 9am to noon. Register here

RECLAIM SUNDAYS

This week, celebrate Pentecost: wear red to Mass, eat birthday cake, have a (safe) bonfire. See more suggestions to reclaim your Sundays.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY OF THE WORD (CLOW)

Because of Memorial Day, there will not be Children's Liturgy of the Word this weekend. Children's aged 3 years through first grade are invited to attend Children's Liturgy of the Word next Sunday at the 8:30 and 10:30 Masses. Children will participate in activities which will encourage a stronger relationship with Jesus.
