HAPPY EASTER!
Faith Formation class this week - April 8th.
AT HOME this WEEK
In the Gospel reading, the disciples were locked away in fear of the Jews. Jesus came to them, stood among them, and said: “Peace be with you.” He showed them His hands, where the nail holes remained, and His side, where He had been pierced by the soldier’s lance. These wounds are visible signs of God’s love for each and every one of us. At the very end of today’s passage, John the Evangelist explains why he wrote down all these stories of Jesus! He wants us to believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Not only that, but through believing in Jesus, he wants us to have life in Jesus’ name. Jesus, too, wants us to believe in Him. He wants to have His life in us—do we trust Him enough to let Him live in us?
John the Evangelist wrote down all of these stories of Jesus so we can learn about Him. Who can you share the story of Jesus with this week?
We would like to congratulate our 11 First Communicants who will be celebrating their First Communion on Sunday, April 12, at the 10:30 AM Mass.
Tomorrow, during their Wednesday class, the children will be creating their First Communion banners. Parents, please join your child in class to help them design this special banner to commemorate their First Communion Day.
