Opening Hymn:  Within the Reign of God

Vs. 1   Come now, the feast is spread; in Jesus’ name we break the bread.
Here shall we all be fed within the reign of God.
Come take this holy food; receive the body and the blood.
Grace is a mighty flood within the reign of God

Refrain: 

Blessed are they who will feast in the reign of God.
Blessed are they who will share the bread of life.
Blessed are they who are least in the reign of God;
They shall rejoice at the feast of life.

Vs. 2   Stand up and do not fear, for Christ is truly present here.
Heaven is truly near within the reign of God.
Now at the wedding feast, the greatest here shall be the least.
All bonds shall be released within the reign of God.

Vs. 3   Welcome the weak and poor, the sinner finds an open door,
None judged, and none ignored within the reign of God.
Here shall the weary rest, the stranger be a welcome guest.
So shall we all be blest within the reign of God.

Gift Preparation Hymn:  You Are Called to Tell the Story

  Vs. 1  You are called to tell the story,
Passing words of life along,
Then to blend your voice with others
As you sing the sacred song.
Christ be known in all our singing,
Filling all with songs of love.

Vs. 2  You are called to teach the rhythm
Of the dance that never ends,
Then to move within the circle,
Hand in hand with strangers, friends.
Christ be known in all our dancing,
Touching all with hands of love.

  Vs. 3  You are called to set the table,
Blessing bread as Jesus blessed,
Then to come with thirst and hunger,
Needing care like all the rest.
Christ be known in all our sharing,
Feeding all with signs of love.

Vs. 4   May the One whose love is broader
Than the measure of all space
Give us words to sing the story,
Move among us in this place.
Christ be known in all our living,
Filling all with gifts of love.

Communion Hymn:  The Living Bread of God

Refrain:   Jesus, the living Bread of God, Jesus, the saving cup of Christ.
Ev’ry time we eat this bread, ev’ry time we drink this cup,
We proclaim your glory until you come again.

  Vs 1   You are the bread of life,
If we come to you, we will never be in need.
If we believe in you, we will never thirst, and we will live for ever.

Vs. 2  You are the life of the world.
If we come to you, we will never know death.
If we eat of this bread, we will be renewed, and we will live for ever.

Vs. 3   You are the living bread,
Our bread from heaven, our food from above.
If we eat and drink, we will be like you, and we will live for ever.

Vs. 4   You are the living Christ.
If we follow you, we will see the face of God.
If we die with you, we will rise again, and we will live for ever.

Going Forth Hymn:  I Am the Bread of Life

Vs. 1    I am the Bread of life.  You who come to me shall not hunger;
and who believe in me shall not thirst.
no one can come to me unless the Father beckons.

Refrain:   And I will raise you up, and I will raise you up,
and I will raise you up on the last day.

Vs. 2   The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of  the world,
and if you eat of this bread,
you shall live for ever, you shall live forever.
